            Civil service examination is an examination that is implemented in various countries for admission to the civil service. It is a nationwide competitive examination and it is conducted in two phases. The success rate for this exam normally lies below 0.5%.

  1. About

    • Each civil service profession has a different civil service exam. The exact exam questions differ for each department, but most exams will test students over reading comprehension, situational judgment and grammar. Some exams will also have math questions on them.

    How to Take the Exam

    • Applicants must send in an application to the proper government agency in order to take the exam. The applicant must then look at the schedule of upcoming civil service exam dates and times and sign up for one.

    Preparing for the Exam

    • Many books are available to help applicants prepare for the test. The books contain practice questions, as well as valuable information that might be tested over during the civil service exam.

                   Indian Forest Service -A combined Preliminary examination will be held for Indian Forest Service and Indian Civil Services. The number of vacancies to be filled on the result of the examination of 2012 is expected to be approximately 1037. The number of vacancies may undergo change. Reservation will be made for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes. Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Physically Disabled Categories in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the Government
