88. Foreign Ministers of G8 adopted historic declaration committing the international community to tackle sexual violence in conflict zones. The agreement, reached on the sidelines of discussions on North Korea and Syria ahead of the summit of G8 leaders in June in United Kingdom.

89. State Bank of India hit the international bond market to raise about $1 billion (Rs.5,430 crore) in a five-year dollar-bond sale programme.

90. World Bank plans to identify seven low-income States in India as part of the multilateral lending agency’s new Country Partnership Strategy (CPS) for India (2013-17). World Bank proposes a lending programme of $3 billion-5 billion every year over the next four years to bring down poverty 5.5 per cent in 2030 from 29.8 per cent in 2010. The States identified for the focused support are Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
